If you’re traveling in Cuba with a rented car, here are the driving directions to get to Cayo Coco:

From HAVANA (travel time: about 6 hours):

• Take Autopista Nacional (1) Eastbound --- 353 km.
From Taguasco, there are a few possible routes to get to Moron, here's one:
• Slight right toward Abel Santamaria --- 62 m
• Slight right onto Abel Santamaria --- 850 m
• Turn left onto Agapito Moya --- 53 m
• Turn right --- 7.4 km
• Keep left to continue toward Carretera Central de Cuba ---34 m
• Turn left at the 1st cross street onto Carretera Central de Cuba --- 51.8 km
• Turn left --- 2.9 km
• At the roundabout, take Road 141 North (Direction Moron) --- 11.7 km
• In Lipones, continue straight towards Ciro and Moron --- 9.1 km
• Keep right to get back on road 141 N --- 8.8 km

• At the roundabout, take the 1st exit to bypass Moron eastward (toward Cayo Coco) --- 5.4 km
• At the intersection with Circuito Norte, continue straight toward the causeway to Cayo Coco --- 54.3 km
• At the roundabout (rotonda) on Cayo Coco, take the first or second exit, depending on which hotel you are heading to.

From CIEGO DE AVILA (travel time app. 1 hour 30 minutes):

• Take Road 82 / 141 Northbound (toward Moron) --- 14.3 km
• Continue straight (on Road 141) --- 9.1 km
• Keep right --- 8.8 km
• At the roundabout, take the 1st exit to bypass Moron eastward (toward Cayo Coco) --- 5.4 km
• At the intersection with Circuito Norte, continue straight toward the causeway to Cayo Coco --- 54.3 km
• At the roundabout (rotonda) on Cayo Coco, take the first or second exit, depending on which hotel you are heading to.

Note that there’s a 2 USD toll (per car, per direction) to cross the Pedraplen (the 17-km causeway connecting Cayo Coco to the main island of Cuba). The toll booth is located at the beginning of the pedraplen (mainland side).
