Sights and Activitire in the Jardines del Rey, Cuba

icon arrow leftClick items on the left menu to learn more about some of the most interesting and popular tourist sights and activities in the Cayos of the Jardines del Rey beach-resort (Cayo Coco, Cayo Guillermo, Cayo Paredon Grande and Cayo Cruz), and surrounding areas and towns in the Ciego de Avila province.

We strongly encourage visitors to discover the other faces of Cuba, beyond its gorgeous beaches, because the area is also rich with cultural, ecological, historical, nautical and entertainments sights and activities for everyone.

All of these places can be visited on your own (taxi, rented car or scooter) or are feature on several organized tours, and most of them are official stops of the Jardines del Rey Panoramic Bus Tour (the double-decker bus that loops around the cayos).

Please note that you are not allowed to travel by scooter outside the cayos, if you want to visit by yourself the surrounding towns (Moron, Ciego de Avila, etc.) on the main island of Cuba, you'll then need to hire a taxi or rent a car.

If you choose to rent a car, we suggest getting back to the cayos before sunset, the 17-km causeway that connects Cayo Coco with the main island os Cuba is not lit and doesn’t have any guard-rail; it may be somewhat dangerous for a driver who is not accustomed with this road.
